Two decades of trim and finish carpentry came before our first foundation. That order is the whole point — the millwork, stair details, and cabinetry are ours, not a line item handed to the lowest bid.
G Custom Homes is a small, family-run builder in Lawrenceville. We take a limited number of houses each year so the people who own the company are the people on site.
Ivan German ran trim and woodwork crews for more than twenty years before the company began building complete homes. Today the family still handles the work most builders subcontract twice over — which is why our punch lists are short and the finish details hold up years after closing.
What we build

New construction is all we do. Build on land you already hold, or on one of ours — either way it is one house at a time, from budget and permits through the final walkthrough, with the same family on site from the footings to the punch list.

Bring your architect's drawings, choose from house plans we have already built, or start with an idea and we will help develop a plan that fits the site and what you want to spend.

Coffered ceilings, wall panelling, stair systems, and built-ins are ours on every house we build — not subcontracted out. It is where the company started.
The last five percent
Coffered ceilings squared to the room rather than to the framing. Applied moulding laid out so the panels land evenly on both ends of a wall. Door casings with consistent reveals, a stair skirt that meets every tread cleanly, cabinet runs that read as one piece instead of several.
None of this shows up in a square-foot price. All of it is what you look at every day for the next thirty years.

We walk your lot, talk through what you want to build, and give you an honest read on whether the budget and the plan agree with each other.
Drawings reviewed line by line against a real cost breakdown, with allowances written down instead of left vague.
Permits, site work, structure, systems, and finishes on a schedule you can see, with one person accountable for all of it.
Where we build
We stay close to home on purpose. A short drive means we are on site daily, and it keeps the same subcontractors and suppliers on every house we build.
